Solid Shampoo Bars

Solid shampoo bars became very popular lately, but they are not a new thing at all. They have been around for a while.

Solid shampoo became quite trendy in the natural hair care movement. So, what is so good about solid shampoo bars, also known as ‘hair soap’?

1. Minimal packaging

We are all trying to reduce our use of single-use plastic. The packaging of our solid shampoo bars are made of recycled paper and aluminium tins which are re-usable. A perfect travel companion.

2. A little goes a long way

Our shampoo bars last much longer than shampoo in a bottle. A small amount of product has all the lather, cleansing, and nourishing properties that bottle shampoo provide. With our shampoo bars, a little goes a long way.

3. Waterless

Solid shampoo bars contains the same type of ingredients as bottle shampoo, but without the water. This means they contain all the good stuff like surfactants, emollients and essential oils.

4. Are shampoo bars the same as soap?

Don’t make the mistake that because a shampoo bar looks like soap, they are the same as soap. Soap are made from oils, butters and lye, in a process called saponification. This process results in a product that is great for cleaning the body but has too high pH for hair. Our solid shampoo bars have a low pH and also contain surfactants, gently breaking up the trapped dirt and oils from your hair and scalp so they can be rinsed away with water.
